JetBoarder Scam - JetBoarder Company Statement
On our Third Year Anniversary and with several hundred sales, and a growing worldwide dealer network, we have an unhappy customer.
Jetboarder acknowledges it made some mistakes in 2010. During a very busy European Summer 2010 we cut some corners, and were ambiguous on certain points about our operation.
This customer tried to do a backdoor deal with our factory. This customer works tirelessly to damage the reputation of JetBoarder..
We have worked tirelessly to negotiate and please this customer, in fact we have refunded over $10,000 and this customer still retains the JetBoard. In fact in good faith we will make a final payment to this Ben Gibson of $1,500.
We have apologised to this customer many times, and have reached a point where we will not negotiate any longer.
Their claims that a Jetboarder has caught fire is FALSE, they continue to circulate certain stories about JetBoarder totally false . These are all totally false.
This website allows anyone to posts unverified information be they child or adult. There is absolutely no verification.
False claims by a Brett Tomms well we believe these are slimey marketing tactics from Powerski, who are now trying to trade as JetBoarder and confuse you the consumer.
It is important to note that after 3 years, there is only ONE unhappy customer, a customer who has tried tirelessly to damage our good name, and I trust that you all take that into consideration when thinking about purchasing a JetBoard from JetBoarder.
Jetboarder strives to please all their customers, and back their product 100%. And this can be seen in us giving this person a refund.
The Product is great it attracts alot of very very very strange people. With incredibly odd motivations. (For kind reference we quote our last email to this customer.. if you can be bothered reading it..

Ben,
We have given consideration to your requests.
1. Your first request is denied. This is both not relevant to you, And I am not going to explain this to you again.
2. Your staged enquiry, and you being ‘outraged’. I have reviewed my email to him, and I have been quite clear. So if I have outraged you.. Well I apologies. On the contrary you are the one making claims about Jetboards bursting into flames and 13 Year Old sons getting burned.. And bogus comments about other purchasors. Which we both know to be false and malicious..
3. You friend Bahram made reference to Surfango, so I am still happy to give you these boards.. We have two in Miami. I stand by my comments on them..
3. We have made an apology to you both personally, and publically via a company statement. We have refunded you and you still have the board. Your request for 10% per month, $500 for each email you have sent, and you recent request for $5,000, and request for me to fly to Dubai and apologise to you and Phillip are denied.
4. You will receive a final payment of $1,500 in due course. (Which will total $12,300) We rescind any offer of any kind, and any agreement we have made with you. You are welcome to keep the JetBoard. In fact if it is in good working order, then we are happy to sell it on your behalf.. (I would imagine I could sell it for you for $5,000- $8,000 depending on their condition). We do not want anything from this sale. You did not have a problem contacting the factory and doing a backdoor deal and try to cut us out.. So you will have made over $17,000.
5. I thank you for having the JetBoard for the France customer returned. This would have been very ugly if you used this customer as a pawn in this. We had this board repaired after it was dropped by Max. Pearl France were terminated for a plethora of reasons..
6. I was not aware that you are an accredited International Marine Surveyor, with a sound understanding of Maritime Laws or Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. I understood that you were a deckhand on a boat. We have engaged an International recognised Marine Surveyor Nick Lockyer. He is an accredited class 1A yacht and small craft surveyor (up to 40 metres) with the Marine Surveyors Association of Australia and an associate member of the International Institute of Marine Surveying. Comments in his reports are based on the Australian Standard AS1799.1-2009 – Small Craft – General Requirements for power boats and AS1799.3-1985 – Engineering (referred to herein as the standard). It has been 3 years since we had this done, (Even though we are not required to do this.. only needs to be done for Commercial Vessels, or vessels requiring an ABP) does not even need to be done, but I am going to do it to re assure the market about the soundness of our product.
Again it is really amazing that you are the ONLY person in the world who feels so strongly against the product. Having said that, we take feedback onboard, so if you have any constructive feedback we will review. You seem to think they are so defective, please provide us with a report on these grose defects. We will review them seriously, and if required make necessary changes.
You seem to be determined to continue to spend time on this, we have worked tirelessly over the last 6 months to please you. You have received more than a full refund.
I suggest considering a commercially productive agreement.
If you are seriously after a Seabob, I will see what I can do I have several clients who I know would be interested in selling them...
I have two clients who are thinking about a JEtLev.. I am happy to refer these people if you would like.
Did you guys ever deliver to Jacques of Motor Yacht Talon. They paid you guys over $USD100K and have been chasing your company for months..
In Conclusion, in over 3 years of business, you are the first customer we have ever had an issue with. I have come to realise that you will never stop. And I do feel sorry that you are so malicious in your false claims.
I do wish you well in your endeavours,
Regards,
Chris K
